Delete your account and data
You can delete your Bayzo account yourself, at any time, without asking us and without giving a reason. This page explains how, and exactly what happens to your data afterwards.
From the app or the website
This is the fastest route and it takes effect immediately.
- Sign in to Bayzo.
- Open Account, then Profile.
- Scroll to the bottom of the page, to Delete account.
- Confirm. You will be asked to verify your phone number once more, so that nobody else can close your account.
If you have already removed the app
You do not need to reinstall anything. Sign in to bayzo.com.tr in any browser with the phone number on the account and follow the same four steps. If you no longer have access to that number, email the privacy address from an address we can tie to your account, tell us the number, and we will verify you another way before deleting anything.
What is deleted
- Your profile — display name, picture, and your storefront or professional profile.
- Every listing you published, withdrawn from the site immediately.
- Every photograph you uploaded, removed from our image storage and its caches.
- Your saved listings and your browsing preferences.
- Your contact history — the record of sellers you messaged.
- Your phone number and the account record itself, immediately — and from our backups as the 30-day backup cycle completes.
What we keep, and why
A small number of records survive deletion. Google Play requires us to be explicit about this, and so does KVKK. There are three:
Records required by law
Turkish commercial and tax law requires certain records to be retained for a statutory period, currently ten years. These do not include your listings or your profile.
A ban record, if you were banned
Held as a one-way hash of your phone number for five years — a value that cannot be turned back into your number. Without it, a banned account could be recreated the same afternoon.
Security logs
Server and security logs, including IP addresses, roll off on their normal 90-day cycle rather than being deleted early.
Backups roll on a 30-day cycle, so deleted data disappears from backups as that cycle completes.
This cannot be undone
There is no restore. Your Bayzo ID is not reissued, your listings cannot be recovered, and your history does not come back if you register again with the same number. If you only want to stop being contacted, withdrawing your listings does that without closing the account.
If you want less than a full deletion
- Withdraw individual listings from your dashboard and keep the account.
- Turn off push notifications in your account settings.
- Request a copy of your data, or a correction, from the privacy address — see your rights in the Privacy Policy.
Questions about deletion
Write to the privacy mailbox. Requests are answered within thirty days at the latest, as KVKK requires.
