About Bayzo
Most buying and selling in Syria already happens over WhatsApp. What has been missing is a trusted place to find out what is for sale, who is selling it, and whether they are real. We are building that place — and then getting out of the way.
What Bayzo is
Bayzo is a lead-generation marketplace. We host the listings, organise them so they can be found, and hand the conversation to WhatsApp. The deal itself happens between two people, directly, the way it always has here.
That is a narrower job than most marketplaces take on, and it is a deliberate one. We are not trying to insert ourselves into a transaction that works. We are trying to fix the part that does not: discovery, and the question of whether the person on the other end is who they say they are.
The problem we started from
Everything is scattered
A car for sale lives in one WhatsApp group, an apartment in another, an electrician's number on a page someone screenshotted a year ago. There is no index, so finding anything depends on knowing someone who knows.
Nobody knows who is real
A number in a group chat carries no history. There is no way to tell a shop that has traded for ten years from an account created this morning to take a deposit and disappear.
The web is built for fast connections
Most marketplaces assume a phone and a network that Syria does not have. Pages that take twenty seconds to load are pages nobody uses, however good the listings on them are.
How it works
1Find it
Search, or browse by market, category and governorate. Filter by price, condition and whatever else matters for what you are looking at.
2Message the seller
One tap opens WhatsApp with the seller's number and a message that already names the listing. No forms, no waiting for a reply inside an app you will not open again.
3Deal directly
You agree the price, the meeting and the payment between yourselves. Bayzo takes no cut and is not in the middle.
What we do, and what we don't
Being clear about the second list matters more than the first. Almost every way someone gets hurt on a marketplace comes from assuming the platform is doing something it is not.
We do
- Host and organise listings, and make them findable in Arabic and English.
- Verify that a seller controls the phone number on their account.
- Moderate content against a published policy, and act on reports.
- Keep seller phone numbers out of every page, API response and script we serve.
- Keep all of it free for buyers and sellers.
We don't
- Take payments, hold funds, or run an escrow service. There is none, and anyone offering one is lying.
- Take custody of goods, inspect them, store them, or ship them.
- Guarantee that an item exists, is as described, or that a seller is honest.
- Read, store or moderate your WhatsApp conversations. We never see them.
- Sell a better ranking. Paid placements exist, and every one of them is labelled as paid.
What we build for
Arabic first, not translated
Arabic is the default and right-to-left is a design constraint we started from, not a mirror image applied at the end. English exists because some people prefer it, not because it came first.
Fast on a slow connection
Pages are served ready-made rather than assembled in your browser, and images are resized to what your screen actually needs. We measure the product on a throttled 3G connection, because that is the honest test.
Verifiable, and reportable
Every seller verifies a phone number. Every listing and every profile carries a report control that reaches a person. Neither makes a marketplace safe on its own, but a marketplace without them cannot be.
Honest about the limits
We would rather tell you plainly that we cannot recover your money than imply a protection that does not exist. The disclaimers on this site are written to be read, not to be scrolled past.

The company
Bayzo is built and operated by Avelqor, a software studio. Avelqor's company registration in Türkiye is in progress; until it completes there is no registered trade name or MERSIS number to publish, and the contact page says so plainly. The mailbox for every kind of enquiry is there too.
