BAYZO

The agreement

Disclaimer

Bayzo publishes advertisements written by other people. This page states, in plain language, what that does and does not mean — because the gap between "I found it on Bayzo" and "Bayzo says it is fine" is where people lose money.

1. We do not check listings before they appear

A listing goes live because a user published it, not because we approved it. We moderate afterwards, on reports and on automated signals, and we remove a great deal — but at the moment you read a listing, nobody at Bayzo has necessarily seen it.

We do not verify that the item exists, that it is in the condition described, that the photographs are of it, that the price is real, that the seller owns it, or that it is lawful to sell where you are.

2. Verification is a phone check

A verified badge means the person controls the phone number attached to the account, because they sent us a code from it. A business badge means we have seen the storefront details they gave us.

Neither is an endorsement. We have not inspected the goods, audited the business, checked identity documents, or formed any view about whether the seller is honest or capable. Treat a badge as "this number is theirs" and nothing more.

3. Nothing on Bayzo is a recommendation

Ranking, search position, category placement, "featured" slots and paid placements are the product of relevance, recency and, where labelled, payment. None of them is a recommendation, a quality signal, or a statement that we trust a seller. A listing at the top of a page is not a better listing.

4. We are not in your transaction

Bayzo takes no payment, holds no money, operates no escrow, takes custody of nothing, arranges no shipping and issues no receipts. When you contact a seller, you leave for WhatsApp and everything after that is between the two of you.

That means, concretely:

  • We cannot refund you. There is nothing for us to refund; the money never came near us.
  • We cannot recover your goods, compel delivery, or enforce anything you agreed.
  • We cannot mediate. We do not have the conversation, the payment record, or standing between the parties.
  • We hold no evidence of your deal. We know that you tapped a button; we do not know what was said, agreed or paid.

What we can do is act on the account. Report a seller who defrauded you and we will investigate and, where it is warranted, remove their listings and ban them — which protects the next person, even when it cannot recover your loss. Report it to the police as well; we cooperate with lawful requests.

5. WhatsApp is not ours

Conversations happen on WhatsApp, under Meta's terms and Meta's privacy policy. We do not control, monitor, store or moderate them. A message that appears to come from Bayzo inside a WhatsApp chat is not from Bayzo unless it is the verification exchange with our official number. We will never ask you for a code, a password or a payment in a chat.

6. Prices, currency and availability

Prices are entered by sellers and are frequently out of date. Where a price is shown in a second currency it is an indicative conversion using a rate we refresh periodically — it is not a quote, not an offer, and not a rate anyone will honour. Availability is whatever the seller last said it was.

7. Directory profiles

Professionals in the Syria Directory describe their own qualifications, licences and experience. We do not verify credentials. Before engaging someone for work that requires a licence — medical, legal, engineering, electrical — ask to see it.

8. Information on our own pages

Guides, safety advice and help articles on Bayzo are general information, not professional, legal or financial advice for your situation.

9. The service itself

The platform is provided "as is" and "as available". We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted or error-free, that results will be complete, or that any defect will be corrected. Availability in any particular place may be affected by networks, infrastructure and matters outside our control.

10. How this fits together

This page explains. The enforceable limits on our liability are in sections 14, 15 and 16 of the Terms of Service, and nothing here reduces a right you hold under mandatory consumer law. Advice on protecting yourself in a deal is in the safety guide.
